Sunday, January 28 – Welcome reception at 18:30 h
SDEWES Welcome reception will be held at CBAE, Av. Rui Barbosa, 762 - Flamengo, Rio de Janeiro, at 18:30 h, where you will have the opportunity to meet other participants and enjoy local couisine and music. We recommend using UBER as there will not be any organized transportation.
Tuesday, January 30 – sightseeing trip and conference dinner
Our SDEWES social event will start after the lunch break, where buses will pick us pa at the conference venue and take us to Sugarloaf Mountain, one of the main touristic attractions in the country. After descending from the mountain, buses will drop us off at several hotels on the conference shuttle route. Freshen up a bit, as SDEWES conference dinner is organized at 20 h at a wonderful rodizio restaurant, Fogo de Chão Botafogo. This authentic gaucho style Brazilian steakhouse restaurant seats up to 400 guests and offers a view of the Sugarloaf. Bus transportation is organized to and from the restaurant. Alcoholic beverages are not included in the conference dinner.
Social programme is included in the conference fee, so submit your final papers, complete your registration and come to Rio de Janeiro! Accompanying person social programme fee is 50 EUR.
